College entrance exams are required by most four-year colleges and universities and some two-year schools.
PSAT - The Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test
- This test is offered during a Saturday in October. Exact date varies each year.
- Students can register on MY SCHOOL BUCKS
- The test should be taken by all juniors who plan to attend college and accelerated sophomores.
SAT - The Scholastic Assessment Test
- Held at GIHS once in the fall and once in the spring.
- Register for the SAT on College Board.
- More testing dates/locations available on the College Board website.
SAT - Subject Tests
- Register for the SAT Subject Tests on College Board.
- Some highly selective colleges may require Subject Tests.
ACT - American College Testing Program
- Register at ACT.
- More testing dates/locations available on ACT website
